The Kinesio® Taping Method involves utilizing a special durable latex-free elastic-like tape worn on the body in order to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It can also allow for extended soft tissue mobilization to prolong the benefits of the manual therapy administered in the office. This technique is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological, and other medical conditions. This method allows for the individual to continue to participate in their regular activities with the assistance to the taping helping them perform with less pain or dysfunction. This technique is commonly seen and used in various levels of athletic performance - ranging from Olympic level to collegiate to weekend warrior.
