Telehealth services involve the use of electronic communications to enable health care providers to deliver health care services to patients using interactive video and audio communications.
Spine and Sports Chiropractic Care offers Telehealth services as a new resource for our patients to have real-time dialogue through a telehealth company called doxy.me, which is secure and HIPAA compliant.
A telehealth visit can serve as a means for a patient to check in with Dr. Vincent regarding the status of continuing symptoms, discuss relevant home care treatment or exercise strategies, as well as allow for the evaluation and diagnosis of any new musculoskeletal injuries and pertinent advice.
In order to have a telehealth visit, please note the following:
- You will need either a computer with a video camera, or a devise like a tablet or a cell phone with the ability to video chat.
- Internet access
- Most major insurance companies in Connecticut are currently covering telehealth services, though it is advised that you contact your specific insurer first.
- Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover telehealth for chiropractic services, though self-pay options are available.
If you would like to have a consult through telehealth, please send an email at ehvincent@spinesportscare.com or use the messaging feature on our website.
